About Martial Arts

Silambam

Silambam is a traditional Indian martial art that originated in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. The art, which is also known as "Silambattam," combines aspects of martial arts, yoga, and Ayurveda, and is considered to be one of the oldest martial arts in the world.

Kalari

A kalari is a gymnasium or training space primarily associated with the martial art of Kalaripayattu. The word kalari comes from Tamil. In the past, village schools in Tamilnadu, typically run by the traditional astrologer families, were known by the name kalari or Ezhuthu Kalari.

Yoga

Yoga is a series of stretches and poses that you do with breathing techniques. It offers the powerful benefits of exercise. And since yoga is gentle, almost anyone can do it, regardless of your age or fitness level. Yoga is a 5,000-year-old discipline from India.
